My house sits a few blocks from the intersection of two major streets. On the north-south road, there are two choice locations for speed traps within about 1 mile of the intersection. On the east-west road, which is the one I’m traveling here, there are four prime speed trap locations within a one mile stretch of road. The one I was approaching in this video is actually at the intersection. Because I drive both of these roads many, many times a day, I’m always conscious of the speed traps and avoid speeding on these two stretches of road at all costs. I was still pleased to see the driver of this black Wrangler Unlimited flashing his lights at oncoming traffic to warn us of the speed trap. Even if it didn’t matter for me here, such warnings have !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

I try to do this for others as well. Sometimes if I’m on the fence about warning people or not, I’ll choose based off what kind of car they’re driving.

My warnings depend on the area. School zone you’re flying through? Yer on yer own.

Speeding isn’t worth it though. That 30 seconds to 1 minute you save going 10 over isn’t worth the fine when you get popped. Granted it took me a couple of 6 month license suspensions in my youth to get that, haha. Geez, I’m old.

When I rode a bike I would pat the top of my head to warn people of traps, but here in SC the cops hate anyone spoiling their trap and are super-aggressive about giving trouble to good guys. so sadly, most people don’t flash.

He was frantically trying to get you to turn your high beams off. I guess you didn’t get the message... ;)

Honestly the high-beams on this Cadillac I’m driving are so pathetic I doubt he would’ve noticed if they were one. Even at night.
